Women and Health - Camden Town

Classes:
One hour class:  The classes are aimed to people of all levels. There would be a combination of standing, sitting and lying down exercises.  Comfortable fitted stretch  wear (cotton & lycra) is the best though loose wear is O K.   Max. 6 people per class.   Cost £7- £8 according to number of people attending. Pilates classes for carers. Subject to conditions and availability

Aims:
To  teach the basic of Pilates incorporating breathing, and body awareness, movement with control, and concentration.

Objectives:
* To strengthen core muscles (abdominals)
* Understanding of body biomechanics and joint stability
* Increase flexibility
* Reduce/eliminate neck, shoulder, back, hip or knee pain
* Posture improvement
* Better self esteem  & confidence
* Prevent/minimise falls (very important for older adults)

Participants will fill in a form about their physical condition.  All information will be confidential.
