What I can do for you
pilates scoliosis

With Pilates Method tailored for a scoliosis exercise programme, in just four months,  I have helped clients to make a substantial correction in their spine. Posture is much better, shoulder pain virtually gone and there is  much less lower back pain. This should be maintained if they continue with the pilates for scoliosis exercise programme.

To correct structural imbalances with the Pilates Method is important to understand the relationship between the various parts of the body, learn to engage the "working muscles" for each movement and be aware of posture and movement.  Pilates is about training mind and body.

With one session:
"For years I have not been able to sleep properly due to neck pain, after just one session I slept like a baby" Steve. (He drives for long hours every day, he had stiff neck)

After four Pilates sessions:
"People used to tell me "you must walk". I didn't walk because I was in pain. Since coming here I'm able to walk, it's like a miracle"   Mary

"I enjoyed the sessions, and felt good afterwards. She showed a lot of interest in my condition and would often research new exercises for me to do. I found her to be a professional teacher and a kind person. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a Pilates instructor".    Grainne (a client with scoliosis" who moved out of London)

"Such a good class today. Feel great"  V. K.

"Clients were charmed by her gentle and considerate manner and her professional approach" H S (Pilates International Studio)

What is Pilates
Pilates can be defined as the complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit. Pilates exercises are designed to elongate, strengthen and restore the body to balance. "Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness"

With the Pilates method what is more important is quality not quantity.  Also with Pilates you will improve not only your body but you will find a positive state of mind and spiritual enlightenment.   To make the most of your Plates exercises it is recommended that you have a one to one instructor specially at the early stages.   In most of the group classes the instructors' attention is divided hence little attention to precision is paid.

Pilates benefits:
Pilates is known of great benefit for: back pain, better posture, improved flexibility, lowered stress levels, toned buttocks and thighs, a flatter stomach and a trimmer waist. More efficient respiratory, lymphatic and circulatory system.

Pilates can be the ideal choice for the middle-aged. The exercises are gentle, enjoyable and effective.

A new study found that Pilates and Tai-chi cut the risk of falling nearly in half after only 15 weeks. click here for more info
